Board Size Chart
How to pick up the right one?
Season is already around the corner. Some riders want to prepare and buy their own board what will increase the progress a lot.
Unfortunately, I already see riders, spending 1000+ euro on a board...
Which does not fit them in a proper way.

It is not that easy to pick a right board which will suit you the best.
And it is especially disappointing when mistake is made because of wrong SIZE.
What the appropriate board size depends on?
The main criteria determining the right size of the board for you is your weight.
But it is also necessary to keep in mind the height of an athlete, because this will affect the width of your stand.
I prepared a special chart for you, which will help to pick up the right one.

*In the end of May and beginning of June I'll organize test-days for Pure wakesurf boards in Italy & Switzerland. However, these charts are general and can be useful for any other brand.
Surf style chart
Bigger size of the board is harder to rotate and control. It demands more power for any aerial tricks to take off. The only advantages are in balance tricks, but for the rest it will interfere with your progress.
Smaller size is easy to feel. The nose of the board will sink too often. You will catch water with rails on rotations and struggle to gain the speed. The feeling is literally like you are too heavy for this board to ride straight.
Skim style chart
Generally I see riders picking up a bigger size of the board, than they should. A bigger board has more forgiveness and makes sense for very-very beginning level when you just learn how to follow the boat (up to your first ever trick).
Then a bigger board gives you less control and demands more power for any maneuver. If you plan to buy your own board, I believe you plan to go further than riding straight with some carving moves.

Put attention on the size of the board you choose, so it will HELP you to progress, not the opposite.
